Executive Coaching Overview:
What You Need to Know

What is Executive Coaching?

Executive Coaching is an experiential leader development process that builds a leader’s capability to achieve short-and long-term development career goals. It is conducted through one-on-one sessions to explore feedback, consider new strategies, and make changes. An executive coach is a thought partner, a guide, and sometimes, an advisor. All our coaches are certified and bring years of experience from a variety of industries and organizations.

How Does the Process Work?

After we learn a bit more about the client’s needs, we recommend 1-3 coaches from our coaching cohort that may be a good match. We facilitate a conversation between the client and the coach(es) to determine the best fit. Once the selection is made, the client initiates the coaching relationship with the coach. The Impact Center coordinates this process, including the StrengthsFinder assessment which is shared with the assigned coach.

How Much Time is Involved?

Most of our coaching engagements are for six one-hour sessions over a 4–6 month period. These are primarily virtual sessions; however, if both parties wish to meet in person that works as well. We work with each client to determine what is best for each individual.
